Business History

United Crane & Excavation is a second-generation, family-owned company. Founded by John and DeLories Hughes in 1971, they started working for cattle ranchers using a drag line to dig water holes for their cattle. They soon progressed to building demolition, small structure demolition, and site work. United Crane & Excavation is now owned and operated by Greg Hughes and has expanded to commercial site development including excavation, underground utilities, base finishing, and concrete pavement.
